Wireless WAN Installation

AIT Partnership Group provides a 4 stage installation process:

1. Site Survey
2. Solution Design
3. Installation & Commissioning
4. Maintenance

Site Survey
AIT Partnership Group will initially conduct a site survey to determine the suitability of a wireless WAN installation. We will produce a report on the physical, architectural, geographical and electrical limitations of the site and their effect on a wireless solution. Surveys can be carried out for internal LANs, building to building and backhaul applications.

A professional AIT Partnership Group site survey saves our customers time and money by:

  • Not wasting time designing an inappropriate solution
  • Identifying all the issues involved in the installation so that the installation team are fully prepared
  • Setting the correct performance expectation so that our customers know exactly what will be delivered
  • Ensuring that the installation is successful first time without the need for repeated visits

Our team includes qualified BiCSi™ RCCD™ engineers with years experience in data communications and wireless architecture design, who are able to foresee and overcome any potential issues.

Solution Design
AIT Partnership Group design and installation team have designed all types of wireless networks. The design includes recommendations regarding the architecture of the wired network to get the best performance from the wireless solution. Our design team can advise on all network topologies and provide strategies to provide wireless and wired solutions for:

  • LANs
  • WANs
  • MANs (Metropolitan Area Network)
  • WLAN, WWAN Security

A complete solution is provided including; hardware, data, poles and antenna and fallback systems.

The design will fully describe what components and configurations are necessary to satisfy the requirements.

Through the design process, a design specification that highlights the chosen design elements and provides a diagram indicating the placement of access points within the facility will be produced.

In larger implementations, it may take weeks or months to fully define enough technical detail to accurately specify a solution. These larger projects will usually involve simulation, prototyping, or pilot testing as part of the design to ensure that the right choices have been made and the requirements are fully realizable.

Custom Build Services

AIT Partnership Group works closely with the R&D teams of its manufacturers to develop communications products based on industry standard specifications. We focus on:

  • G.703 and associated technologies
  • Signalling protocols
  • Channel cross-connects
  • Switching and interface conversion

A semi-custom product opportunity occurs when there is a gap between the functionality required by an application and the functionality available from an existing product.

Usually AIT Partnership can turn the requirement for a custom build product into a semi-custom product, based on our library of existing technology and hardware platforms. This short-circuits the development process, enabling us to produce a fast prototype.

How do we implement semi-custom products?
We start by getting a clear definition of the requirements. This is basically a definition of the inputs and outputs of the system, and any management functions required. We then respond with a proposal that details how the system will be implemented, the time scales, and the costs.

The next step is to produce a fast prototype so that the system architecture can be proven in the real world. Given that this 'works' we can then turn this round into a production quality unit, with low risk, and relatively low engineering overhead.
